Trick or Treat

Tonight we were invited to my friend Honey & Scott's for Halloween...and we had a great time! A lot of familiar faces, from football & cheer..some new faces too...I am so glad we went! Being new is tough, and I think tougher in a small town, but everyone was super nice and the kids had a blast! They were a little tired, as am I, but they had a lot of fun! We had a casual dinner, and they had some yummy pulled pork sandwiches and lots of sides...I made my buffalo chicken cheese dip, and it was a hit! I text Melissa tonight, missing her and our neighborhood trick or treating, along with the munchies...I missed a little bit of home, my comfort zone...
But this was a great new thing, a way to meet some people, and get to know other ones a little better! Still very Thankful everyday that we are in this new place...

Before we left, I asked my kidos to take a few pics...Ones' mask was unable to be found, one posed nicely, as usual...and one was this...
It is always a Booey...

Before the party....

After the party.....

Happy Halloween!

Are you kidding me?

Scott went to Home Depot to get a few things this morning, including a snake...one to unclog toilets...since our spare bath has been clogged ALL WEEK.

As I was sitting here, in my office, across from the spare bathroom... doing bills, I can over hear the conversation being held between Scott and our kids....

Daddy what are you doing?asked my girls
I am fishing.... daddy replied
Nooooo, daddy what are you doing?? my girls asked AGAIN....
I am fishing for the turd that clogged our toilet...daddy replied
girls laughing...

Long Pause..........
Then I hear, That'll Do It......Who did this?...and the littlest daughter, said, not me, it wasn't me.....other kids laughing, including myself...
it was the dog, the dog did it......

I am still wiping the tears from my eyes.....
The last time I checked...dogs don't drink capri sun...

another lllooonnnggg day...

Saturday we had a game in Bonham, it was our final game, and it was at 9 am..we had to be there at 8:15, being that the game was an HOUR away, we had to leave early...besides the fact we went to the last HS game in Celina on Friday night...we knew it would be a lllooonnggg day...all in all it was great we beat Anna, which was the team we played, it is so great to see all the improvement in the boys!! It is really fun!! but I unfortunately forgot my camera...it was early and I was so mad at myself, considering that was the LAST game for us!! ugh!!

On top of that we made plans with JB & Anthony to take the kids to trick or treat on the square, and go to dinner..we survived it, and we tried a new place The Blue Goose, it is a Mexican Cantina...and it was YUM!!

At the end of our lllooonnngg day...this is what we ended up with....

GOING..........

My dog is already getting bigger!!

So Daisy was determined to be about 10 weeks old on October 20th, when I took her to the vet for the first time...she weighed 16.4 lbs and seems super healthy!! Scott was gone last week, and when he came home, he was like "what happened to her??" She does not have that puppy face anymore.....look......

She is a super good dog..she is great on potty training, has settled down on the chewing and biting a bit, and is learning some commands...the kids love her, and she is a great companion for me. She just wants to be where ever you are, she is really sweet...I am beginning to think all good dogs are "free"..

Happy almost Friday!

It's Fall

I always decorate my house for the holidays...I love Fall!! The colors are so rich and warm, and they match my house colors perfectly! I am not a HUGE Halloween fan, I always put out a few decorations, but I do not have a ton of them...Fall decorating on the other hand, I really love!! My Best Friend Melissa gave me the idea of doing a "fall tree" when we lived next door to each other in California, and I did it again this year!! It is super easy, not too expensive and it looks really cute! I bought most of my ornaments, that consist of beaded and plain fruit, at Home Good and Walmart...the raffia and ribbon at JoAnns...I reused the little crates the fruit came in, as part of my fall set up!

This cat...oh help me...everytime I leave the house, I pray the tree is still standing when I get home, then when I let the dog out...they think this is a good hiding spot...NOT!!

This is the mantel in our house, and right now it is housing my Halloween stuff, but after Halloween, I'll put up the rest of my fall stuff...

As we get closer to Thanksgiving, we make tags for our tree of all the things we are thankful for...the kids hang them with ribbon, and I keep them every year as a keepsake memory...It is a wonderful time of the year...Be Thankful....EVERYDAY!
