My Second Home........the Laundry Room

So I am participating in Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life...Laundry Rooms, Play Rooms, Game & Media Rooms..... and since our Game, Media and Play room are unfinished (meaning in the framed stages) I can not show you that.....But I can show you my Awesome...Laundry Room....

Ha Ha...It is the truth!! With 3 kids and a husband with a job, that he actually gets dirty at...This is my Second Home...I probably do at LEAST 15 loads of laundry a week!! We have only lived in our new house since the 4th of July...But when we saw it, 2  things are MOST important to me, the kitchen of course and the laundry room.Not only is the laundry room a place where I do the laundry, but it is a storage for back-paks & jackets, shoes, the cat box, cleaning stuff..you name it, it is here.

I also like my laundry  because of all the "cubbies" that were built-in, the storage shelves on each side of the windows, they are awesome! Also I like a separate laundry room because I keep my purse and keys all in the same place, and that way it does not end up on my kitchen counter or little desk area in the kitchen!!

here goes....

 This is looking into the laundry room, from my kitchen..there is a door that closes to separate the two.

 door to the garage and those very useful shelves...they house all our pool towels (for the pool we don't have yet)  and sunscreen/bug spray

 Play dough storage...way out of reach for small children...well planned

 Am needing a storage drawer thingy for the area to the left of the washer, and or a swiffer holder too...YES that is cat food on the sitting area, so that dog won't eat it..although that won't be long she is getting HUGE!!!!

 Cute cubbies, everyone has one, and I have one for slippers....LOVE these windows in here...they bring in a lot of light!! Yes that is a cat bed for my rotten cat..He LOVES to lay there in the summer sun..Now that the weather is turning cold, he has moved spots, I think it is too cold for him there now..He now lays in the den, on the couch, where the sun comes in all day....

Back on my feet

It has been a rough week, with all the illness' but, I think I am finally back on my feet! Monday Night we had our football/cheer party...and that was also the night I started to not feel well...Thankfully I made it through the party, then went home and ached liked crazy....

It was a really nice night, it was at the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm,  with both teams and we had pizza & cake, gave out awards and trophies...it was a fun night.

 This is Scotty's coach, Coach Mark....he said some very nice things about Scotty, how he improved and played a hard position to learn, center..How originally they did not know where they would end up putting him...and that for a kid from California, he played pretty good football.....

 Brynne smiled sssssooooo good for me with Abby..this is my friend Honey's daughter, her and Bella get along really well, she is super sweet to Brynne and always includes her..I heart that!!

Sick again...

Well the bug has made it through the house, and I am last..But mine is different! I have the chills and ache, but no other symptoms....I don't know if I am the lucky one, or not, as if I could throw up, I'd probably feel better....But I will be back soon, to post a few pics! We had our football /cheer party, I was able to make it through that!

Oh the Life...

Oh the Life..the life my rotten cat has...some days I wish I had!! Especially the end of this week...Thankfully Scott is home, but Bella got the stomach bug on Wednesday, late night..threw up and had an upset tummy for a little while and that was it..I thought we were in the clear.....NOT! Brynne woke up about 2 a.m. sick, and I got a call from Scottys' friends house (he had a sleep over) that he had thrown up in the bed, the top bunk at that! Are you kidding me? I felt sssssssooooooo bad...

So today we are all back in our jammies and will be hanging around the house!! I am going to sew and craft a few things for a few people that I am working on for our year end cheer & football party....so cute!! Working on a few Christmas outfits and laying low, although some days I wish my only worry was to find the warmest, sunniest spot to lay in....ALL DAY!

Until Lifes next adventure...which will probably be tomorrow!

It is Friday!! and it has rained off and on, most of the day...at some times REALLY hard!! It  just looked like a blur it rained so much!! But none the less it's Friday and that is a reason to be smiling...smiling because I am not getting up early tomorrow! i have stayed up wwwwaaayyyy too late every night this week, getting up wwwwwaaaayyyyy too early, and tomorrow I am NOT!!

The other night the kids went to Awanas, and when they returned, there was a box at the door.....

It was a Vermont Teddy bear with a broken right arm, from Grandma and Grandpa.....SO CUTE!!! It brightened Scotty's night! he is handling the broken arm well, I have to bathe him and put his shoes on daily, help with buttons, zippers or snaps, but all in all...things are good!

We are so super proud of the kids! Scotty was picked for Creative Writing, now every week, he goes to a special class to work on that, and he was an all A Honor roll student again, for this past 6 weeks! Awesome!

Bella also is doing great, she had perfect attendance for the last 6 weeks, along with all A's as well....I saw a dip in her English/Writing, so we will work on that...she is not sure when to capitalize and punctuate sometimes...we're getting there!

You know really when we moved away from home, I was most worried about Scotty, he is like me, not to into change, likes things a certain way...he reminds me of me, when I was younger...So I was telling him how worried I was about him, last night, and explained that he has surpassed me by miles...he has done things maybe I thought he never would, football, adjusting, awesome grades, and now the creative writing...he is amazing! I was telling Scott, I remember going through the hallways at our old school and seeing all the creative writings and how nice their handwriting was...Being that Scotty struggled, even Mrs. McBride, his AWESOME teacher before we moved.... was concerned...I remember when we moved, she sent him with handwriting papers and bought him a new coloring book, to help work on his fine motor skills...all of a sudden, he is a different kid!

What time and a little adjustment will do for someone, everyone...I have said it time and time again on this blog, that we are truly blessed, we were brought here by God. I with all my heart believe that, we were led to live a life here in a place where we could raise our kids in a simpler life, less crowded, great schools....While Scott and I knew all along we wanted this for them, God made it happen, He led and we followed, and will continue to follow....

I am FINALLY going to participate in a Show Us Your Life over at Kelly's Korner I have wanted to do the other ones, but Life has taken priority..ha ha.


So here goes!!
This is a little half bath in our house, it actually has 2 doors where you can walk thru it..it is great for a "pool bath", because it is located by one of our back doors...

Then I have the girls bathroom, which I LOVE..it matches Bella's room...and right now Scotty has to share it with them until our upstairs is done!

 One thing I LOVE about the girls bathroom, other than the lloonngg counter, ya know girls need their space, but the bottom half of the linen cabinet is actually the dirty clothes hamper, that is a false panel, that pushes in, and wa la..clothes in the hamper!!

Finally the Master Bath....It is perfect for us, I love the double shower heads, then neither of us have to wait for the other, or cramp in a small shower together, again the bottom half of the linen is an area for a hamper, but no little magic spring door...

There ya have it...These are actually the very first pictures I have posted of our house since we moved here in July...So now you can see a little bit of my new house..

Enjoy, it is Friday tomorrow...the weekend is here and I am a happy girl!!
