Schlitterbahn Fun

Last month when Nicholas was here, we made a trip to a HUGE waterpark, Schlitterbahn....It is so fun. Typically I am not a water park kinda girl, really at home I would NEVA have gone, they gross me out!! This one is cool for thee fact that the Comal river is near by, like right out back, and they use that water to run throughout the park...no stinky chlorine or chemicals..it is really neat! We have been here once before when we were checking out Texas, Last year...and the kids loved it!!

It is a good 4+ hour drive from home, so we stayed the night and had planned to go the next day as well, then that morning Bellas woke up not feeling good, and neither did Nicholas, so we headed home...I did not take nearly as many pictures as I would have, so here goes....
This I NEVER would have done...For one I am afraid of heights, and the fact that Bella went on it, was amazing! They got to the top, and I fully expected to see her change her mind...but she is a trooper...and I think cause she was with her BIG brother, she was fine...she wanted to go again!! (um...No Thank You!)


When we were in the kids area, they had a water slide for little ones, and Brynne was too young last time, but this time she went right on, Nicholas caught her a few times, then she was on her own!!

sunsets and wine..

So when I saw my great gurfren Kim..this past week.....I was telling her that we do not have access to Maurice Carie or South Coasts' Muscat Canelli wine...which WE drank and entire bottle of, on our river trip, last year...sitting in 95+ degree heat, at night, we consumed this lovely, fruity, and very yummy wine on the back of our golf cart. When I was home last month, I bought 3 bottles, of which are now gone...No I did not consume them all by myself, well maybe 2 of the 3...

So at Walmart (the only BIG grocery store type place we have, that is somewhat close- if you count 30 minutes as close) I was browsing their selections of wine, and saw my usual Berringer White Zin...and saw this....

It is Barefoot Wine..Moscato, and it is really yummy...So I stocked up and headed home to enjoy..that evening AFTER the kidos were in bed, and i was in the bath....very fruity, sweet...YUM!

Also I snapped a little sunset pic from the front yard, looking to the side of our house....I have yet to see a full rainbow, but with a sky this big, it will happen, if we ever get anymore rain!! haha

Well am awaiting the arrival of an AC guy....i will probably need a glass of Moscato, when he hits me with the bill, better yet, maybe i should drink it before he gets here!! ( I am only kidding!)

Just because....

Today I do not have a lot to post about..I am being lazy on doing a post on Schlitterbahn (the water park) So I just took a few pictures over the last week or so...so thought I'd share...







Have a fabulously wonderful Thursday, thankfully tomorrow is Friday, and my boys will be home tonight!!

One good thing about rain here....

When we first moved in, it rained, and came down all of a sudden... I had been telling Scott one thing I always remember about going to my grandma's house, was that we would play in the rain when they would have a thunderstorm...well we let our kids out in it, when it came down here. The nice thing here when it rains, it still stays warm, so it's not like they are out in the cold...by far..
I snapped a few of these, they had relay races in the water, that was running through the front of property, it was more like a small river!!



Also this was the 4th of July weekend, and as I drove into our town, I saw this.....

I had told Scott a few times, I gotta stop and get a picture of that before they take it down. I got the picture and I also sat back a moment to Thank God for the place he had led us to live...Thankful for it's smallness, Thankful for their acknowledgement for the brave men and women that protect our country EVERYDAY, and MOST Thankful that they are not afraid to praise the Lord......

What Girls do when the Boys are gone....

So the boys went to California, not only for work but to bring back yet another load of our "stuff"...so I think it was last year for Bella's birthday she was given the Girl Gourmet Cupcake maker...we used it once...

Well we used it today since, they were bored and I told them they could, the night before, hoping they would forget by morning...they however are children, and they remembered, simply because they have nothing else to think about but themselves...must be nice..

Ok so I remember having an easy bake oven, however I do not remember the items I baked tasting so disgusting..chalky, dry..they were gross...but because they made them, they enjoyed them, as I pretended it was yummy..ha..





While they enjoyed it, I survived....

We have done a few things, I will be posting, but not in order...We had Nicholas here, and went to Schlitterbahn ( a huge water park-FUN!) and I have some random pics that are cute...

Long overdue...and no pictures yet!!

I feel like I have fallen off the face of the earth!! Well We kinda have...we have had lots going on!! We went to California, after the kids got out of school..picked up Nicholas, then headed back..to packing and more packing, then finally moving, and now Scott is going back to California with Nicholas....woooooo...

It has been CRAZY BUSY, we need a slow down, and by golly we got one...Will share more later....and YES some pictures....

My Good Citizen

Last week at school, they had their end of years awards assembly, and Scotty received an award for Citizenship. Stating he was a good friend and cared about others, and was there to help out!! We went and were very proud of him!! This has definitely been a change, in a good way, but it is still change!! I keep reminding my self, that it will take time, and time is hard for someone as impatient as me!
I am sure he will succeed through all the changes we have and and will have, and come out a stronger more confident boy....I.HEART.THIS.BOY.SO. MUCH!!

Ok, so we go weekly, more like 3+ times weekly to a market called MarketStreet...Now it is NOT like any other market I have ever been to..It is a grocery store, but it also has this part where you can get everything to eat, right there!! they make sushi, pizzas, salads, burgers, sandwiches..they have smoked turkey with anything you could imagine on the side. I had never eaten a Reuben sandwich, and now I am addicted, not only to the sandwich but to these...these are the devil..

All I can say is they are wonderful, they are a butter cookie, not really sweet but just damn yummy!! I will confess, one day I ate 15...they come 18 to a box, and I gave each of the kids one, and ate the rest my self..I am sorry, well not really....

Pool Fun...isn't it always!!!

Well am making up for lost blog time...and packing in between!! haha...when Jan & Noel were here (in-laws) we went to the pool with some of my friends from school, and the kids had a blast!! Scott & I also had a night out to ourselves (which we needed desperately) we ate at a place called Bob's steak and chop house in Plano, and I am telling you that filet, was the BEST i have ever had, and that is saying alot!! We have eaten at some pretty yummy places in our 12 years together, and that filet was fabulous!! One thing I am starting to learn here though, BRING A JACKET!! It is hot out side, but everywhere you go the A/C is cranking!! I can't even get a sandwich without freezing!!

Lost in the Loop....

Well I have been lost in a loop...some loop..I guess just the last busy days of school, visitors, planning our trip home to California...and other surprises!!!

Well a couple weeks ago, my mother and father in-law came to visit..it was GREAT!! We had a great visit, the kids were really surprised and they were also our "first" visitors to our new home!!

Scott & I knew they were coming, but we did not tell the kids...It was also Scotty's LAST and final baseball game, so they showed up, just in time to see him bat!! It was so cute, Brynne and Bella were playing and since they called me before they came, I got my camera ready...Brynne was playing on the sidewalk, and Mimi and Pa came up behind here...she looked puzzled, like she knew them, but couldn't figure out how or why they were there...then the screams to Bella, and it was all over!! It was sssooo great!! I captured what I could, but I missed the big open mouth as she was running to Bella!!!!





Then we snapped a few other pics of teh game, Scotty was so proud...and happy..It was a piece of "home"...Something I think we all needed....




Well, I have a lot to do..and I will post some more pics tonight, before we head out on our journey...
